The trial to prove that the notorious “Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion” are spurious will be resumed here December 15, it was announced yesterday by Presiding Judge Mayer of the court.

The court has agreed to permit the Nazi expert Ulrich Fleischhauer of Erfurt, Germany, who claims to be an authority on Jewish questions, to appear as expert for the defense. At the same time it was disclosed yesterday that the court has rejected a request by the defense that Major Henning, a former member of the German Embassy in Czarist Russia, be called as witness to testify about alleged connections between the Jews and the Free Masons.

It was announced that the court wishes to terminate the trial before Christmas. This is, however, considered unlikely since the Nazi defendants are maneuvering to retard the trial. A proposal was made yesterday by counsel for the defense that more witnesses be called from many countries. The court set a short term during which questions that are to be put to witnesses may be formulated. Thereafter, the court will decide whether the witnesses will be called.
