Is there any #ikelihood of riots in Palestine? The Scotsman, a newspaper published in Edinburgh, asks this question and answers:

No one could be saner or more kindly sympathetic than the present High Commissioner, but the problem that faces him and his advisers is two-fold: (1) How the door of entrance may be widened without admitting undesirable people: (2) how to widen the door without creating fears and kindling fires in the breast of the anxious and excitable Arab.

Is there any likelihood of a repetition of the riots and bloodshed of recent years? Since the outbreak in 1929 troops have been often “standing to” in expectation of rioting that seems never to materialize. Opinion is sharply divided. Some who speak with expert knowledge say. “There is danger”; others not less authoritative say, “There is none.” The truth is that nobody knows.
