Amid impressive ceremonies, the body of Dr. Leon Reich, Galician Zionist leader who died in Poland in 1929, was reburied here yesterday.

Thousands of residents of the city marched in the funeral cortege. Dr. Nahum Sokolow, president of the World Zionist Organization, extolled the dead Zionist leader’s accomplishments.

Dr. Reich, a pioneer Zionist, was many times president of the Galician Zionist organization. He also represented a constituency in the Polish parliament and was president of the Jewish Deputies Club.

In 1919, Dr. Reich, as one of the vice-presidents of the Committee of Jewish Delegations, wrote a brochure on the minorities question which was written into the peace treaties, since it was said to have made a deep impression on the statesmen negotiating the peace.
