The Jewish community council suffered a severe setback today when a local court ##ted temporary injunctions restraining shochet I. Brenner from practicing his occupation as slaughterer of cattle and town.

The court declared itself reluctant to interfere in ecclesiastical laws, particularly where such laws are not clearly established.

Brenner is fighting the authority of the council and refuses to obey its order to cease his slaughter operations.

Arguments on permanent injunctions are still to be heard by the court.
