The return of High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope to his post in Jerusalem has increased interest there in the fate of the proposed legislative council, the London Times reported today in a dispatch from the Holy Land.

It is generally supposed that the High Commissioner left London with the details of the scheme settled between the Palestine administration and the Colonial Office, The Times stated.

Sir Arthur was in England for three months and during that time was frequently in consultation with the Colonial Office. He was said to have the final draft of the ordinance establishing a legislative council in his possession.

Several Jewish delegations also visited the High Commissioner and discussed Palestine Jewish problems with him.

All factions of Palestine Jewry are united in unbending opposition to a legislative council.
