Sol Ekelchuk, of 1473 Crotona place, the Bronx, an officer of the Anti-Nazi Minute Men, on Friday was freed of charges of felonious assault by Magistrate Anna M. Kross in Bronx Magistrates Court.
Ekelchuk was arrested on November 15 in a melee following a meeting of the Friends of New Germany at Eblings Casino, 156th street and St. Ann’s avenue. He was also booked on charges of petty larceny, preferred by David Machold, another participant in the Nazi outbreak. The petty larceny charge was dismissed Wednesday. Elkelchuk’s attorney, Harry G. Fromberg, has announced that he will sue Machold for false arrest.
