Growing in popularity with each succeeding day, the Jewish Daily Bulletin’s Biggest Jewish News of the Week Contest is rapidly becoming the favorite indoor sport of its general readers and college and high school students throughout the city.
Hundreds of letters have already been submitted for a share in the $100 in cash prizes to be awarded writers of the best 250-word letters. Winners in the second week’s competition will be announced this Friday.
Exactly at midnight last night the final batch of letters was taken from the contest box at the Jewish Daily Bulletin and submitted to the judges. Letters postmarked before midnight Monday will receive full consideration.
The contest, catching the interest of Bulletin readers in its very first week, is proving even more popular as results of the second week’s returns are tabulated. Letters from readers and students are terming this current Jewish news competition education, interesting, and informative, aside from the fact that all are interested in its opportunities.
The third week of this competition is now under way. Coupon number three appears in today’s issue. Entry blanks one and two have appeared in the week-end and Monday editions respectively. Back numbers may be secured at the offices of the Jewish Daily Bulletin, 221 Centre street.

Everybody is eligible. Readers, college and high school students may all share in the cash prizes distributed each week. Readers of the Bulletin may win twenty-five dollars as first prize for submitting their letter on what they think is the Biggest Jewish News of the Week. Second prize is ten dollars and third, five dollars.
College men and women will be awarded similar prizes.
High school students may win cash prizes and medals for first three places. A gold medal and ten dollars in cash for first prize, with five dollars and a silver medal for second prize, goes to this group. Third prize is two dollars and a bronze medal. At the same time students who receive these prizes earn points for their high schools which enter in the race for the News Trophy. At this writing Townsend Harris is in the lead with 100 points.
Get into the contest. It is simple. Clip all the coupons from the Bulletin from Sunday to Friday. These consecutive blanks must be mailed along with the letter of 250 words on the Biggest Jewish News of the Week.
