Prof. J. W. De Haas Gets Rumford Physics Award

Professor J. W. de Haas of Leyden, prominent Dutch Jewish physicist, has been awarded the Rumford medal of the Royal Society of London.

The award, a prized distinction in the world of physics and chemistry, was given for researches in the properties of bodies at low temperatures.
