High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope has been requested by the Arab Medical Association of this city to take cognizance that free entry into Palestine of foreign doctors “has adversely affected the livelihood of resident Arab and Jewish physicians and has led to the cheapening of the profession.”

The memorandum in which the society presented its request urged the government to cease issuing entry permits to doctors and to impose a restriction on the granting of medical licenses by the Department of Health.
