With plans completed for putting the open-air Park Avenue market in Harlem under glass, Commissioner William Fellowes Morgan Jr. of the Markets Department has forwarded to Mayor LaGuardia and the Board of Estimate a request approximately, for $200,000 to carry these plans out.

While the pushcart merchants and other operators in the market are generally enthusiastic about the plans, there are many who are wondering whether they will be provided for in the new arrangement.
