The tragic results brought about for the German Jews by the “Aryan paragraph” are best illustrated in the brief dispatch which we carry today from Berlin, reporting that there are now only forty-six Jews among the thousands of law students in the German universities.

These forty-six are the last of the Mohicans. They are the remnants of the large number of Jewish students who attended German law faculties only two years ago. They may graduate, but whether they will be permitted to practice as lawyers is another question.

Hitler is reaching his aim. There are practically no more Jewish students in Germany. A few years from now there will be no Jewish lawyer or doctor there, which is just what Hitler wishes.
