French authorities are by no means unfriendly to German Jewish refugees and show great leniency toward them, Dr. Bernhard Kahn, European director of the Agrojoint, constructive Jewish relief group, informed the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today.

Dr. Kahn will leave tomorrow for a visit to the United States.

“In #iew of the misery of the Jews in Eastern Europe, the Agrojoint is prepared to cooperate with any Jewish body that is willing to help in constructive work,” Dr. Kahn said.

Joseph Salvador was the first Jew to be elected to the directorate of Dutch East India Company.
