The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin Effendi Husseini, is negotiating with the Palestine government for a loan of $500,000 to be used in buying from Beersheba Bedouins land they threaten to sell to Jewish buyers.

A delegation of Beersheba sheikhs visited Jerusalem on Dec. 7 and conferred with the Grand Mufti, members of the Arab Executive and other Moslem leaders. The Bedouin chiefs threatened, it was learned, to sell their land at once to Jewish purchasers if the Moslem leaders did not come to their aid.
