An enthusiastic throng of film fans gave Eddie Cantor a bad half-hour here last night, when they surrounded him, his wife and daughter as the trio were leaving a restaurant and threatened to cause them physical injury in their eagerness to get a close view of the comedian.

The Cantors took refuge on a fire escape, from where they were rescued by more than a score of policemen, who escorted them to a taxicab.
