In order to cope with the heavy traffic in Haifa Harbor, authorities have instituted a twenty-four hour working day, the men working in three shifts, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned today.

Up to now ships loaded with goods and immigrants have had to wait their turn at the docks, causing numerous complaints from shipping companies and passengers.

Government officials, it was learned, also hope to centralize control over all immigrants at Haifa, which will insure effective supervision.
