Dr. Samuel Margoshes, editor of The Day, told a local audience that membership in the American Jewish Congress would administer prompt and adequate relief for the Jews in emergencies that are beyond the scope of local agencies.

Albert H. Slater was re-elected president and director of the National Bank of America yesterday. Sidney Alexander and Jacob Katz were re-elected directors.

In other bank re-elections, Jacob Kushner remains assistant secretary at the United States Trust Company; Louis B. Schwartz and Charles K. Lichenstein, directors, Broadway Bank and Trust Company; Samuel. Grobart, director, Commonwealth Title and Mortgage Insurance Company; Max Rosen and Samuel Grobart, directors, Hamilton Trust Company.
