The Assembly, lower house of the California State Legislature, again has named a rabbi for its chaplain during the present session which has just opened. The honor this year falls to Rabbi Norman Goldburg of Sacramento.
For a number of years the position of chaplain was held by Rabbi Rudolph I. Coffee, now of San Francisco.
