Q.—Would you please be good enough to advise me whether sturgeon, the kind we buy in the delicatessen store, is kosher?—H. L.K.

A.—According to the Agudath Harabonim, sturgeon is not kosher. The sturgeon lacks scales and has a black roe, certain signs of a non-kosher fish.

Q.—Is there a strictly kosher gelatine available on the market? —Mary R. Cohen.

A.—There are at least two brands of kosher gelatine sold at retail. If you enclose a self-addressed envelope, the names will be mailed to you.
