Behor Shitreet, who was public prosecutor in the preliminary hearing which led to the trial of Abraham Stavsky for the murder of Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff, has been appointed magistrate for Tel Aviv and Jaffa.
Judge Shitreet, who is forty years old, was assistant police superintendent in Jerusalem. He was admitted to the Palestine bar in 1930. In 1927 he was assistant superintendent in Tel Aviv, and was transferred to Jerusalem the following year.
