More than 1,200 persons will attend the Palestine Land Redemption dinner of the Jewish National Fund Sunday evening in the grand ballroom of the Hotel Astor, according to an announcement Friday by Maurice Levin, chairman of the committee for the affair. Postmaster General James A. Farley will be guest of honor.
Dr. Israel Goldstein will preside over the function. Addresses will be delivered by Rabbi Stephen S. Wise, Mrs. Irma Lindheim, and Levin, president of the Hearn Department Stores, who recently pledged himself to contribute $2,500 annually for the purchase of land in the Holy Land.
The banquet will bring to a climax efforts to raise a special fund
