Miss Sylvia Rosenberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius L. Rosenberg of 127 West 11th street, was married to Morton J. Metzler, son of Mrs. Henry Metzler, of Woodmere, L. I., and the late Mr. Metzler, on January 19. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Israel Goldstein in his study at Temple B’nai Jeshurun. A small reception at the Lexington Hotel followed.

After a wedding trip, the couple will reside in this city.

The marriage of Miss Desiree Harris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Harris of New York, to Philip Steiner of Cincinnati, took place on January 20 at the Warwick. The Rev. Dr. Clifton H. Levy performed the ceremony.

A breakfast and reception followed.

The bride, who is a niece of Sidney Harris, theatre owner and producer, attended the Sorbonne in Paris and has appeared in plays here and with stock companies in Washington, D. C. Her father is a member of the New York Curb Exchange.

After a wedding trip to Nassau, Bahamas, Mr. Steiner and his bride will reside in Cincinnati.

Miss Miriam Levine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Levine of 91-05 Baldwin avenue, Forest Hills, was married on January 20 at 8:30 p. m. in Temple B’nai Jeshurun to M. Leonard Liebman of Brooklyn. The Rev. Dr. Israel Goldstein officiated. After a reception at the Temple, Mr. and Mrs. Liebman left on a wedding trip to the South. They will make their home at Forest Hills. Mr. Liebman is passenger representative of the Missouri-Pacific Railroad in Manhattan.

The marriage of Miss Regina Fuerst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fuerst of Laurelton, to Dr. George Neuhaus of 344 East Seventy-ninth street, will take place on February 3 in the Laurelton Jewish Center.

The couple will sail about February 15 for a four-month trip to Europe, stopping at Budapest, where Dr. Neuhaus is on the medical staff of the Budapest Hospital. He is a graduate of the University of Vienna and came to America three months ago. On their return the couple will reside in Laurelton.

Miss Fuerst was graduated from Washington Irving High School and attended Columbia University. She is a graduate of the New York School of Fine and Applied Arts and is a commercial artist connected with the advertising agency of A. J. Silverstin.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tarr of Newark, N. J., have announced the engagement of their daughter to Dr. David L. Cohn, son of Mrs. Hyman H. Cohen of 465 West End avenue, this city, and the late Mr. Cohen.

Miss Tarr attended Height’s School of Illustration and Applied Design and Dr. Cohen was graduated from City College, Cornell University and Bellevue Medical College. He is a member of Phi Betta Kappa Society.

Announcement has also been made by Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Alpern of Perth Amboy and Elberon, of the engagement of their daughter, Ruth, to Joseph Leipziger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leipziger of New York City.

Miss Alpern, who attended the Perth Amboy High School, graduated from Smith College in 1932. She also attended the University of Grenoble and the Sorbonne. Her father, who was formerly president of the Interstate Trust Company of New York, is president of the Perth Amboy Trust Company.

Mr. Leipziger is a graduate of the College of the City of New York, class of ’27, and of the School of Technology, class of ’28, with the degree of Electrical Engineer.
