The decision of the German ski club to participate in the international Winter sports carnival in Norway next month will bar more than 150 Norwegian workmen, including some of the best ski jumpers and skaters in the country, from participating.

The Norwegian Federation of Labor adopted a resolution in December prohibiting any of its union members from competing against German athletes anywhere in the world so long as Hitlerism dominates Germany. This organization, comprising some of the world’s greatest athletes, is the strongest labor union in the northern sector of Europe. The international Winter carnival is the one major athletic meet held in Norway during the year.
