Says Austria Eases Its Jewish Stand

Sir Otto Niemeyer, Anglo-Jewish banker, who accused the Austrians of open anti-Semitism and of violating the Treaty of Saint-Germain, which guaranteed full protection for minorities.

The Minister of Finance promised at that time to intervene with his government to end anti-Jewish discriminations.

The new attitude of the government, it is hoped here, will save the jobs of more than 1,000 remaining Jewish sick fund physicians, menaced by a renewal of contracts, which would have eliminated the Jews.
