Nineteen per cent. of the members of the Rotary in Berlin are Jews and not a single Jew who was in the organization before the advent of Nazism in Germany has been asked to resign, Clare Martin of Cairo, honorary Rotary commissioner of the Eastern Mediterranean region, declared in an address here.

Speaking at a luncheon meeting of the Jaffa-Tel Aviv Rotary Club, Martin quoted a recent statement by Jan Christiaan Smuts, South African statesmen, to the effect that, in spite of hostility among nations, there was more genuine good feeling among peoples today than ever before. Rotary, said Martin, is one of the important instruments for the promotion of this spirit.
