In a speech delivered at the Indian Economic Conference here, B. Shiva Rao, Hindu labor leader and delegate to the Indian Round Table Conference in London, paid tribute to Jewish accomplishments in Palestine.
The Hindu labor leader, who recently returned from Palestine, declared that “it would pay India to copy the methods employed by the Jewish settlers in Palestine.”
“Jewish genius in Palestine,” he stated, “had overcome the formidable obstacles of poor soil and lack of water and had converted a barren land into an orchard.”
