Congratulating the Jewish Community upon the opening of a new wing in the Jewish Welfare Home of Vienna, Dr. Schmitz, Lord Mayor of this city, declared that there should be no religious consolation.”

He welcomed the fact that the Home was conducted according to Jewish principles and hoped that the community would remain true to these ideals.

“It is particularly in time of need, in the hours of affliction,” he said, “that people most need religious consolation.

The new wing of the Jewish Welfare Home of Vienna will accommodate seventy more children.
