Hundreds of workers are needed at once in Bnei Brak, Herzlia, Petach Tikvah and other settlements, the Jewish Labor Organization has announced.

Building is being hampered by the lack of artisans in the various construction crafts. There is also a heavy demand and an insufficient supply of mechanics familiar with American and English automobiles.

The organization has signed contracts for this year amounting to £150,000 and will probably surpass its 1934 figure of £270,000—if the workers can be found. The shortage is causing deep concern.
