Ten Jews and four Arabs went on a twenty-four hour hunger strike yesterday in the Jerusalem prison demanding that they should be released under bail. The demand was granted today by the government and the prisoners ended their strike. They will be released under bail of $125 each.

The strikers were in jail on charges of illegal entry into Palestine. The four Arabs are of the Druze tribe in Syria.

The terms of all fourteen prisoners had long expired. They were being kept in jail because they refused to reveal their native lands to which the government could deport them.
