An official announcement was issued today by the executive committee of the World Jewish Congress, stating that the elections to the Congress will be postponed.

The announcement declares that the elections may yet take place in 1935. Their exact date will be fixed at the next meeting of the executive, which will be held in May. The announcement is confirmation of a story released last week by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

“The postponement of the elections is necessary for technical reasons arising from reorganizing the election machinery, but the elections are absolutely possible at a later date,” the committee statement declared.
