Mrs. Maurice Levin will be hostess at a tea Thursday for 300 members of the New York chapter of Hadassah at her home, 211 Central Park West. The tea is part of the organization’s fund-raising campaign.
A memorial meeting to honor departed members of the Braila Camp of the Order Sons of Zion will be held tonight at the Stuyvesant Casino, 140 Second avenue. Speakers will include Louis Myers, Dr. Harris J. Levine, Louis Rimsky, David Rusikoff and Mr. and Mrs. Fuchsman. Charles Jacob, president, will preside. Cantor Hyman Shapiro will officiate.
Avukah, American Student Zionist Federation, will award annually two fellowships for one year of travel, work and study in Palestine, it was announced yesterday. The first awards will be made next month, and successful candidates will leave for Palestine during the Summer. All applications must be in the hands of the Committee on Awards by April 1.
