The New York Post brings the following report from Berlin:

The realization that Frau Emmy Sonnemann, who will be married next month to Hermann Wilhelm Goering, is the descendant of an eminent German Jew, has come as a surprise to London.

Leopold Sonnemann, founder of the Frankfurter Zeitung, is an ancestor of the actress who is to be the second wife of the Prussian Premier. Lesser Nazis than General Goering are forbidden to marry women with even so small a trace of Jewish blood.

General Goering brought Frau Sonnemann to the Berlin State Theatre some months ago and has been seen in public with her with increasing frequency.

ENCOURAGES YOUTH TO JOIN ‘Y’S’

Why youth should join the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Association in America is outlined editorially in the American Jewish Outlook, a Pittsburgh publication:

The “Y” is in a very special sense a family institution. It offers opportunities for cultural and physical betterment to mother, father, son and daughter. Whether one be interested in music or athletics, painting or debating, cultural speeches or entertaining movies, that need can be satisfied at the “Y.” Whether one can come to the “Y” only on Sunday or only during the evening, or every evening, or during the afternoon, makes little difference. “Something interesting is going on all the time.” Whether one be rich or poor is never apparent at the “Y.” All are welcome.

DESCRIBES COLUMBUS AS ‘CONQUERING JEW’

Was Columbus a Jew?

This question is discussed in the Daily Express of London. The paper declares:

Sir John Foster Fraser, in his book, “The Conquering Jew,” says: “Columbus had Jewish blood in him, as his mother, Suzanne Fonterosa, was of Jewish descent.”

Columbus in his will bequeathed a certain sum of m### to a Jew living by the ### of the Jews’ street in Lis### and in case this particular ###w was dead or gone from that place, Columbus left instructions for one of the priests to designate this money to any one he liked.
