A plea to the Prince of Wales submitted by a number of Viennese Jews during the Prince’s stay here resulted today in the British Consulate’s issuing a number of Palestine visas to Jewish artisans.
In their plea, the Viennese Jews had asked the Prince to help them get to Palestine. Wales submitted their appeal to the British Embassy in Vienna with the request that it be transmitted to the Palestine government. In reply the Palestine government notified the British Consulate in Vienna to issue special immigration certificates to the Jews for whom the Prince of Wales had intervened.
