Plans for a year-round fundraising effort will be discussed at the dinner and reception which 1,000 business, civic and welfare leaders, volunteer workers for the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, will give tomorrow evening at the Hotel Commodore in honor of Samuel D. Leidesdorf, Federation’s newly-elected president, and Waldemar Kops, new chairman of its business men’s council.

In an effort to make fund-raising more continuing and dependable for the ninety-one philanthropic agencies affiliated with Federation, including such institutions as Montefiore Hospital for Chronic Diseases, Hospital for Joint Diseases, Home for Hebrew Infants, and Lebanon Hospital, a plan for a twelve-months’ drive for funds has been formulated, it was announced. Discussion at the meeting following the reception to the new officers will center on this plan and steps will be taken to make it immediately effective.

Joseph M. Proskauer, former president of Federation, will preside at the dinner, and Felix M. Warburg, chairman of the Federation Board of Trustees, will present the new officers.

Community problems in welfare work will be discussed by Mr. Leidesdorf, and Mr. Kops will lead the discussion of the new year-round fund-raising plan.
