Replies to the criticism voiced at the conference by numerous delegates, were made today by Moshe Shertok and by M. Kaplan, Laborite members of the Zionist Executive.

The Understanding Committee of Nine, appointed by the Actions Committee to explore the possibilities of reaching an agreement with the Revisionists had its first meeting today under the chairmanship of B. Mossensohn, General Zionist leader.

The committee to transfer the remains of Dr. Theodor Herzl from Vienna to Palestine, decided today to permit representatives of the Jewish communities in Jerusalem and Haifa to appear before the committee with their arguments in order finally to decide whether the remains of the Father of Zionism should be buried in Jerusalem or in Haifa. At present these two cities are competing for the privilege of having Dr. Herzl’s remains buried on their ground.
