Every faction in the Lodz Municipal Council was requested to sign a pledge that no further disturbances would take place at the sessions of the Council, following the riots on Tuesday evening during which three Jewish councillors were attacked and injured by anti-Semitic members of the council.

Among the three injured is the president of the Lodz Jewish Community, Leib Minsberg.

The Zionist members of the Municipal Council did not participate when the council resumed its sessions today after obtaining the requested signed pledges. Their absence was a demonstration of protest against the disorders staged by the anti-Semitic National Democratic Endek councillors.

At today’s session the National Democratic councillors, who constitute the majority in the council, adopted a resolution to eliminate all municipal subventions from Jewish economic organizations.
