There are not less than 10,000 automobiles in Palestine, averaging one to every 100 residents, according to statistics made public here.

During 1934, the number of automobiles in Palestine increased thirty per cent, despite the higher tax imposed. During the years 1933 and 1934, Palestine imported gasoline worth $875,000.
