The fourth tournament of the Hapoel, Laborite sports organization of Palestine, opened here today in the presence of 8,000 spectators.
The Hapoel is a competitor of the Maccabi. It did not participate in the second Maccabiad which was held here recently, despite the fact that Lord Melchett, the world president of the Maccabi’s, made an effort to reconcile the two rival organizations.
