Two hundred delegates representing the Jewish Workmen’s Circle schools in thirty-five states of America and Canada, are participating in the ninth convention of teachers and principals, which opened here today.

Reports submitted at the opening session show that 6,000 children are attending the Workmen’s Circle schools throughout the country. Forty per cent of them come from homes where the parents are not members of the organization.

The convention will consider a number of important educational problems concerning the teaching of Jewish history, literature and social science. It will also take up the question of publishing new text books for use in the schools and of organizing Summer camps for the children.
