Warburg Library on Economics is Given to New York University

A collection of 3,500 books and 2,000 pamphlets on economics, including many early and important works, has been presented to New York University by Felix M. Warburg, it was announced today by Chancellor Harry Woodburn Chase.

The gift was made by Mr. Warburg in the name of his mother-in-law, the late Mrs. Jacob H. Schiff, who had acquired the collection from a nephew, Prof. ###The gift, to be known as “The Economic Collection in Memory of Mrs. J. H. Schiff,” was presented through the agency of the Society for the Libraries of New York University, an organization formed last year by alumni and friends of the university, of which Mr. Warburg was a founder.
