The Nazi government may close the offices of the pro-Nazi Jewish party in Germany, headed by Dr. Max Naumann, as a result of his protest to Hitler against the ordinance forbidding Jews in Germany to display the German flag, it was indicated here today.
Goering’s newspaper, the Nationalzeitung of Essen, today expresses its indignation at the action of Dr. Naumann.
“This is a piece of impudence,” the paper says. “We wonder how the organization is permitted to continue to function.”
RIOT REPORT CONFIRMED
Confirmation of the reports that anti-Jewish disorders took place in Bavaria during the Nazi celebration of May Day, is seen today from an official statement issued here by the Nazi Political Police. According to the statement, the police are “investigating the activities of the provocateurs who smashed the windows of Jewish shops in Wuerzburg on the night of May 1 for the purpose of disturbing the National Festival and creating unrest among the population.”
