Czechoslovak Consul in West Canada Dies

Max Steinkopf, Czechoslovakian consul for Canada west of the Great Lakes, died today at the age of 53. He was prominent in law, Jewish and communal affairs and was the founder of the first B’nai B’rith lodge here.

Steinkopf was appointed King’s Counsel on January 1 of this year.
