Poland Forbids Zionist Lecture by E. Kaplan

The Polish authorities today prohibited a public lecture on Zionist problems which was to be delivered by Eliezer Kaplan, member of the World Zionist Executive, here to address a convention of the Zionist Laborites.

The order prohibiting this lecture was issued, it is believed, in the interests of maintaining peace. The authorities fear that a lecture by Mr. Kaplan, who is a Laborite, would lead to disturbances, since the atmosphere between the Zionist Laborites and Zionist Revisionists in Poland is now extremely tense.

The All-Polish convention of the Poale Zion, the Polish Zionist Laborites, opened here yesterday in the Rex Theatre Hall with hundreds of delegates attending from all over the country. Mr. Kaplan, whose lecture was prohibited today, was one of the principal speakers at the opening session of the convention.

A startling revelation was made by Mr. Kaplan that the Zionist Revisionists have offered the High Commissioner of Palestine 50,000 able-bodied Jewish youths for British military service in Palestine.
