A clear cut statement outlining reasons why the Zionist Federation of Germany desires complete control over the Jewish Community, was issued here today to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
The statement follows: “The fac###s of the Jewish People’s League and the Zionist Federation in the Berlin Jewish Community consider it, in the interests of the Jewish totality, intolerable that the Board of the Jewish Community continues to be constituted in a way which no longer corresponds to the real feeling of the Jewish population.
“The two factions, realizing that the overwhelming majority of the Berlin Jews stand behind them, demand an immediate change in the composition of the Community bodies, taking into the fullest account the views which they represent, and a corresponding change in the administration of the various departments of the Community organization. They expect the utmost support of the Jewish public in their fight to animate the Jewish Community with the full, living Jewish spirit.”
