A vigorous nationwide campaign among American women Zionists in this country is being directed from the national headquarters of Hadassah and Junior Hadassah to bring out a large “woman” vote on June 23 for delegates on the General Zionist slate to the nineteenth World Zionist Congress

Baccalaureate services in connection with the annual commencement of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, will be held in the Seminary Synagogue, 531 West 123rd Street, on June 1. Rabbi Benjamin A. Lichter of Congregation Bnai Israel, Pittsburgh, Pa., will deliver the baccalaureate sermon.

More than 100 lawyers of Bronx County will gather for a conference at the Concourse Plaza Hotel tomorrow evening to discuss the role of the bar in social welfare, and to work out a program for the wider and more effective participation of the legal profession in the work of the philanthropic institutions of the community. The conference meets in response to a call of a committee of leaders of the Bronx bar, headed by Meyer Levy, active for many years in the work of the Bronx division of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies. George Z. Medalie will be the principal speaker.

New members to the Committee of One Hundred, a body of lay leaders organized by the Jewish Education Association, were welcomed at a Lag B’Omer festival at The Jewish Club.

An entertainment and dance was given last night at Mecca Temple by the Anti-Nazi Minute Men of the United States.
