have been terrorizing the population in Munich. They have tried to hide their real activities by asserting that they are furthering an anti-Semitic movement. They have induced Munich merchants to contribute huge sums of money.

“This group is responsible for all the disturbances of the last two weeks and especially for those which took place on Saturday. They defaced the show windows of Jewish stores and compelled the proprietors to close their establishments. They also attacked Roman Catholics and broke up street collections in aid of Catholic charities. They also hindered and insulted police forces who were attempting to carry out their duty. Their leaders have now been arrested.

“The arrested ringleaders will be brought to trial on charges of disturbing the peace and public order,” the official communique promises.
