The London Times, reporting on the new German press law forbidding Jews to publish newspapers, gives the following details:
The following are disqualified from publishing newspapers:—
Public corporations and their subsidiary organs; companies, cooperatives, and endowments; legal persons and associations whose aims, activities, or composition show their structure to be professional, class or confessional: persons and associations of persons in the service of public corporations or of professional, class and confessional institutions, except those performing honorary service in local self-government, the Reich Press Chamber or a similar body; those exercising their rights on behalf of a third party, except in the capacity of a trustee; those unable to prove Aryan descent from the year 1800 for themselves and their spouses; undertakings in which other newspaper concerns, have rights; concerns and persons enjoying rights in a concern which serve for the joint publication of newspapers; concerns which publish daily newspapers in several places or for several places, except for sub-editions circulating in areas not served by the main edition or another sub-edition; and, lastly, concerns which themselves are members, or whose owners, privileged beneficiaries, or leading employees, are members without the permission of the president of the Reich Press Chamber of any newspaper publishers’ association not affiliated to the Reich Press Chamber.
Non-Aryans and persons in the service of public corporations or professional class, or confessional institutions are therefore forbidden any sort of activity in a newspaper concern.
SEES ‘PROTOCOLS’ ‘WRITTEN IN BLOOD’
The Daily Express of London, in an editorial captioned “Written in Blood,” comemnts as follows on the verdict of the Swiss court in the “Protocols” trial:
Ever hear of the “Protocols of Zion”?
They are probably the biggest forgery in history. Blood is spattered on every page. The “Protocols” purport to lay down the principles of a Jewish plot to dominate the world. secretly organized at a Jewish congress in 1897. The Czarists used the “Protocols” to inflame the mobs against the Jews and Hitler recommends the study of them.
The Swiss court at Berne decides that they are “ridiculous nonsense,” and bans them as an offense to public morals.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
