The laying of a cornerstone for the building which is to house the Habimah Theatre, the first Hebrew theatre in the world, will take place here tomorrow in the presence of Sir Arthur Wauchope, High Commissioner of Palestine.
The Habimah Theatre was established in Soviet Russia. It successfully played in America nine years ago and has since then been on tour, giving successful performances in almost every capital of Europe. For the past three years it has been in Palestine, where it will now have its permanent home.
