Honors to German Veterans Stir Protest by English Jewry

###rong disapproval was expressed ###day by the large Jewish population of Brighton against the official ###vic welcome given to the twenty-###ne German war veterans who ap-###ared in the city decorated with ###e Nazi emblem on their arms.

Representatives of the Jewish population refused to participate in ### banquet given in honor of the ###man ex-service men tonight. The Jewish community also refused to be represented at the reception given by the Mayor to the German delegation.

An invitation to a reception extended by the Mayor of Hove to Alderman Barnett Marks, a Jewish member of the British Legion who lost his son in the World War, was declined by the alderman in a letter voicing his disapproval of the affair.
