Serious attention was paid by the Palestine government today to reports Arab leaders have held a secret conference at which the possibilities were discussed of getting rid of the British regime in case of a world war involving England.

Though the Palestine administration is aware that the extreme Arab circles are looking forward to a war in which England will be entangled, it does not believe that moderate Arab leaders would indulge in plotting against England at the moment.

Officials here are of the opinion that the impending war between Italy and Ethiopia will put an end to the schemes of some Arab extremists to link their interests in Palestine with Italy, as indicated by the recent letter of Emir Arslan published in the Arab press here.

The Arabs in Palestine, Syria and neighboring countries are in definite sympaty with Ethiopia.

Official figures made public by the government here state that approximately $75,000,000, more than twice as much as two years ago, are now lying in Palestine banks awaiting investment.
