The war-scare occasioned by the Italian-Ethiopian crisis, which has been keenly felt in Palestine, is gradually abating here following assurances in the entire Arab and Jewish press.

Food hoarding and the withdrawal of cash from the banks is decreasing, a survey reveals.

The Palestine population became alarmed by reports that certain Arab leaders were holding conferences at which possibilities were discussed of getting rid of the British regime in case of a world war involving England.

Reports were also circulated that Ethiopian agents were secretly at work in Palestine enlisting the sympathy of Arab leaders and recruiting young Arabs to fight for Haile Selassie. Arabs in Palestine, Syria and neighboring countries are in definite sympathy with Ethiopia.
